Formerly known as Hilda Bassey Effiong, this young and gifted Nigerian chef hails from the vibrant Nsit Ubium LGA in Akwa Ibom State. At the tender age of 27, she has established herself as a prominent figure in the culinary world, proudly owning the food brand “My Food by Hilda” in Lagos.

Endurance and Persistence

Hilda Baci has embarked on an extraordinary culinary marathon that spans an impressive four days. Located at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos, this ambitious endeavor requires her to cook non-stop, without breaks for sleep. Standing tall throughout the entire duration, she commenced this remarkable feat on Thursday, May 11, with the aim of concluding the marathon by the evening of Monday, May 15, 2023.

Nourishment and Stamina

While Hilda Baci is permitted to consume food, water, and fruit juice during her cooking marathon, she is prohibited from relying on stimulants such as coffee or energy drinks to artificially boost her stamina. However, to sustain her energy levels, she is allowed to consume glucose.

Sharing the Love

All the delectable dishes prepared by Hilda Baci during the marathon are distributed to the attendees at the venue, completely free of charge. Her generous spirit shines through as she selflessly provides meals to the audience. With the freedom to whip up a diverse range of dishes simultaneously, Hilda faces no restrictions on her culinary choices. The Guinness World Record title revolves around the cooking duration, rather than the specific meals prepared.

Surpassing the Current Record

Hilda Baci’s ultimate goal is to surpass the existing Guinness World Record holder, Indian chef Lata Tandon. Lata achieved a remarkable feat by cooking non-stop for a staggering 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019. With an additional 9 hours added to the existing record, Hilda Baci is striving to cook for an incredible 96 hours, becoming the first individual on Earth to accomplish such a remarkable culinary marathon.
