Oyebanji Applauds Fayemi's Election As African Governors Forum President

Ekiti State Governor-elect, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor and Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on his election as President of Forum of Governors of Regions/ States of Africa (FORAF).

Oyebanji, who described Governor Fayemi as a rare gift to Ekiti, Nigeria and Africa, said his (Fayemi) leadership of the esteemed group would no doubt add immense value to its operations and objectives.

“To God be the glory, Dr. Fayemi has consistently sustained the tempo and stood out as a unique and creative leader, endowed with competence, brilliance and capacity. Indeed, he is a rare gift to our dear state, Nigeria and the entire continent of Africa. This honour has further confirmed that our dear leader is like a golden fish.

” I’m not in doubt that, as President of FORAF, he will provide quality leadership and the world will feel it. He will perform creditably well at FORAF because he is always up to the task.

The Governor-elect stated that Governor Fayemi deserves this great honour going by his track record and excellent performance both as Governor of Ekiti State, Nigeria Governors’ Forum and as former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“I am delighted over the election of His Excellency, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi as President of Forum of Regions of Africa(FORAF). This is highly commendable.

“I am delighted over the new leadership position entrusted to our dear Governor but it didn’t come to us as a surprise because a lot of positive attributes speak for him anywhere he finds himself,” he added.
