While at Prime Business Africa, Otobo also served in various capacities, including, as a non-resident senior fellow in Peacebuilding and Global Economic Policy at Global Governance Institute in Brussels, Belgium.

The President said he shared the pain of loss with professional colleagues with the deceased, particularly those who worked closely with him at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and United Nations, as well as the Government and people of Delta State where the deceased hailed from.

A press statement by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity noted the late international citizen had served the country for many years, before working for the United Nations.

In the statement, Buhari noted the worthy representation of Nigeria by the career diplomat, who he said brought glory to the country with his expertise in repairing relations and reforming institutions, taking up challenging responsibilities over the years.

He recalled with great admiration, Otobo’s many contributions to the maiden outing of the Nigeria International Partnership Forum last year in Paris, promoting the country with talent and great energy.

The President regretted that the valued contributions of Otobo will be missed and prayed for the repose of his soul.

Recalling Otobo’s invaluable spot at Prime Business Africa, the business e-newspaper also notes that the Police in Tuckahoe, New York, United States, found the body of Otobo just a few days ago since he suddenly went missing on June 15.
