In six months, the Nigeria Customs Service generated about N1,003 trillion in revenue compared to last year. This revelation was by the Customs Public Relations Officer (PRO), Joseph Attah, who said the revenue generated was from January to June 2021.

Mr Attah said the agency’s revenue profile had been on the rise due to ongoing reforms that exploited the potential of technology. “Hitting the trillion-naira mark within six months is unprecedented in the service”.

On the issue of some aircraft brought into the country without verification, Attah said 58 aircraft owners in compliance with the agency’s directives have come forward with documents of their jets for verification.
