Akwa Ibom APC: Two secretariats, many troubles

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed Prime Business Africa’s exclusive report on  N100 million cost for presidential nomination and expression of interest forms.

This newspaper had, two weeks earlier, reported that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party had proposed  fee schedule for expression of interest and nomination forms for all elective positions in the 2023 elections, with that of the presidential position pegged at N100 million.

National Publicity Secretary of the party,  Felix Morgan, confirmed the report while addressing journalists in Abuja, on Wednesday.

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the APC also transferred its powers  for nomination of candidates and disciplinary actions to the NWC as also reported by Prime Business Africa.

APC’s NEC transferred its power to NWC under the leadership of its National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu for the next 90 days.

Senator Iyiola Omisore, National Secretary of APC, told the gathering that Senate President, Ahmed Lawan moved the motion and was seconded by Governor Nasir El-rufai.
