The game will come five days after the Super Eagles would have played against Mexico in another international friendly game at the AT&T Stadium, Texas.

Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar but has had the privilege of playing against some teams heading to the tournament who have African teams in their groups.

Ecuador will use the game as part of preparations for their FIFA World Cup campaign going down later this year in November.

Ecuador are in Group A with host country Qatar, African champions Senegal and Netherlands.
