Air Peace Ranked West Africa’s Top Airline, Places 8th in Africa

May 24, 2026

Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has been ranked the 8th best airline in Africa and the highest-rated airline in West Africa in a new continental aviation ranking released by Gambella Media Network, Prime Business Africa reports.

The ranking placed Ethiopian Airlines in the top position on the continent, followed by Air Mauritius and RwandAir. Air Peace emerged ahead of several prominent African carriers and maintained a clear lead over airlines operating within the West African subregion.

The latest recognition is being viewed by aviation observers as another milestone for the Nigerian airline, which has significantly expanded its domestic and international operations in recent years.

The carrier has grown its fleet, widened its route network, and strengthened its presence across Africa while also operating long-haul international services linking the continent with Europe and other destinations.

Industry analysts say the ranking reflects Air Peace’s growing influence in African aviation and highlights the increasing competitiveness of indigenous Nigerian airlines within the continental market.

The report also drew attention to the credibility of the ranking platform, noting that Gambella Media Network has an established African audience base and strong public engagement metrics.

Supporters of local aviation development described the ranking as further evidence of Air Peace’s emergence as one of Africa’s major aviation success stories and a leading force in West African air transport.
