Travelport, Air Peace Sign Multi-Year Content Deal to Expand Global Reach

Global travel technology firm Travelport has signed a multi-year content agreement with Air Peace Limited, a move aimed at expanding the Nigerian carrier’s visibility and access across global travel markets,Prime Business Africa reports.

Under the agreement, Air Peace’s full flight content will be made available on Travelport+, the company’s next-generation travel marketplace used by hundreds of thousands of travel agencies worldwide. The deal is expected to strengthen Air Peace’s distribution footprint across Central and West Africa while improving its reach in key international markets.

Travelport said the partnership will allow Air Peace to leverage advanced retailing tools, rich content and branding capabilities, enabling the airline to better showcase its products to travel agencies globally.

Chief Commercial Officer of Travelport, Damian Hickey, described Air Peace as a strategically important airline in the region, noting that the agreement enhances Travelport’s content offering in West and Central Africa.

“This agreement strengthens our content offering in these key markets while enabling Air Peace to extend its global reach and deliver enhanced, branded content to travel agencies worldwide,” Hickey said.

Air Peace operates extensive domestic and regional services across Nigeria and West Africa, alongside international routes to the Middle East, the Caribbean and the United Kingdom.

Reacting to the development, Air Peace Chief Commercial Officer, Nowel Ngala, said the partnership aligns with the airline’s international expansion strategy.

“As Nigeria’s and West Africa’s largest airline, we are focused on ensuring our services are easily accessible to travel agencies globally. Travelport’s extensive reach and modern technology platform will support our ambition to grow sales, enhance customer experience, and strengthen our presence in key international markets,” Ngala said.

The agreement also underscores a broader trend among African airlines, which are increasingly adopting modern distribution platforms to boost global visibility and improve access to travel agencies.

Travelport, headquartered in London, operates in more than 180 countries and provides multi-source travel content to airlines, hotels and other travel suppliers. Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, continues to expand its fleet and route network across Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Europe as part of efforts to improve connectivity and promote Nigeria as an aviation hub.
