The committee was inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on December 24, 2025, as part of a broader strategy to resolve lingering intra-party conflicts, foster unity among party stakeholders, and enhance grassroots mobilisation across the country.
According to party sources, the APC Conflict Resolution Committee Holds First Meeting in Abuja committee is expected to intervene in crisis-ridden APC chapters, reconcile aggrieved members, and develop political strategies aimed at consolidating the party’s dominance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Political analysts view the establishment of the committee as a proactive move by President Tinubu to prevent factional divisions within the APC that could undermine the party’s electoral strength if left unresolved.
