British-Nigerian heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua was on Monday involved in a fatal road accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, resulting in the death of two persons, Prime Business Africa reports.
The accident occurred around late morning near the Sagamu Interchange in the Makun area of the state, according to multiple local and international reports. Joshua was travelling in a Lexus SUV when the vehicle reportedly collided with a stationary truck on the busy highway.
Eyewitness accounts indicated that the crash caused severe damage to the vehicle, prompting an immediate response from bystanders, emergency responders and security personnel. Two occupants of the vehicle were confirmed dead at the scene, while Joshua sustained injuries described as minor by sources familiar with the incident.

The former two-time world heavyweight champion was said to be conscious after the crash and was taken away from the scene for medical evaluation.
