Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored a beautiful header on Sunday on his full return to action as Napoli secured a win away against Venezia in the Italia Serie A.

However, his compatriot and defender, Tyronne Ebuehi who featured for the home team, was red-carded in the closing stage of the match after a tackle on Lorenzo Insigne.

Ebuehi himself was bandaged after a collision with an opponent before the referee issued him a yellow card but a further VAR check changed the decision to a straight red card.

Osimhen rose high to power home headed-goal in 59 minutes to give his side the lead.

The former Lille of France striker was making his first start for Napoli since November when he fractured his face and underwent facial surgery

Andrea Petagna scored the second goal in the 90+10 minutes to hand Napoli crucial three points as they continue their push to reclaim the leadership of the Serie A.

Victor Osimhen has scored more goals than any other Napoli player across all competitions this season with 10 goals from 17 games to his credit.

David Okereke also featured for Venezia and gave a good account of himself despite the defeat.

Napoli are now second on the Serie A table, a point below leaders Inter Milan who have a game in hand.

Inter were defeated 3-2 in the Milan derby Saturday evening by AC Milan with Frenchman Olivier Giroud the star of the show.
