“Dangote Truck Crushed My Sister” – BBNaija’s Phyna Cries Out For Justice As Accident Leaves Sister Amputated

August 15, 2025

BBNaija Season 7 winner, Phyna, and Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, are calling for justice after a truck allegedly belonging to the Dangote Group ran over Phyna’s younger sister in Auchi, Edo State, leaving her critically injured and with one leg amputated.

According to Henshaw, the incident occurred just six days after the victim graduated. The truck driver allegedly fled the scene but was chased down by a lecturer who witnessed the crash. Henshaw also claimed that the truck’s license plate was removed and that police officers in Auchi were denying the victim’s family and concerned students access to the vehicle, despite it being in police custody.

“This @DangoteGroup truck in police custody in Auchi has hit a young girl who just graduated 6 days ago… The driver didn’t stop… The license plate has been removed. Police are refusing the family and students access. One leg amputated already & the other may soon be amputated,” Henshaw posted on X.

Phyna, in tears on an Instagram post, accused the Dangote Group of prioritising closed-door meetings over her sister’s medical emergency and instructing police to remove the truck’s plate number.

“From all that has happened, you decided to tell the Nigerian police to remove the plate number on the truck that crushed my sister… Na money you get, you no be God. But my God is bigger. Enough is enough,” she wrote.

The victim remains in critical condition, with fears that her remaining leg may also require amputation.
