Okeke, first PhD graduate of UNN, who was supervised by Professor Ndili. The Acting Vice Chancellor of UNN, Professor Oguejiofo T. Ujam, will serve as Chief Host.

This commemorative lecture honours Professor Frank Ndili, Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka from 1980 to 1985. His administration is widely regarded as the golden age of the university. During his tenure, UNN witnessed revolutionary infrastructural development, including top-tier municipal services such as sustainable water supply, steady electricity, and a modern sewage system. His leadership also attracted a vibrant academic community comprising many expatriates who enriched the university’s intellectual and cultural life.

Despite facing significant challenges, Professor Ndili’s impact on the university endures, with many of his projects still forming the backbone of UNN’s infrastructure.
