Safe to say, that Galatasaray are counting their blessings as their romance with the Nigeria international which began eight months ago has been yielding fruits in all fronts.

The 26 year old who is on the radar of many clubs in the transfer market continued his exploits for the Turkey league leaders grabbing a brace in 4-1 win over Sivasspor on Friday just before he was substituted by Dries Mertens with 20 minutes left.

The former Lille star has successfully exceeded his previous personal best of 31 goals in a single season, which he set during Napoli’s championship-winning season two years ago.

Under the leadership of Okan Buruk, the team currently leads the league with 83 points from 32 matches with Fernabahce following nine points behind.

Osimhen is however not giving his all without receiving in return.  Gala fans are showering him with affection which he has acknowledged as overwhelming. Many of the fans are dreaming they could have him for keeps amidst all the offers coming from EPL and Saudi Clubs.

The Nigerian was literally mobbed by adoring young mascots before the team’s clash against Sivasspor, with one tiny fan’s mini-version of his iconic protective mask stealing the show.

As Osimhen stepped onto the pitch, the towering striker was swarmed by a group of starstruck children, their excitement palpable.

In a particularly touching scene, he scooped up one delighted young girl who proudly wore a pint-sized replica of the protective mask that has become synonymous with his warrior-like presence on the field.

After the match, Osimhen addressed the pregame incident, expressing his surprise and appreciation. Although he has always been a fan favourite everywhere he goes, he admitted that no fanbase has displayed it the way Galatasaray have.

“It’s honestly a great feeling,” Osimhen said, per Ntvspor. “I thank God for the inspiration and those masks. I had never seen anything like this until I came to Galatasaray. I will continue to do this. I want to continue the way they know me. This makes me very happy.
