Arsenal Set To Lose Out On Vlahovic As Serbian Agrees Deal With Juventus

Arsenal’s bid to land Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer window is under threat after the Italian media on Tuesday report that the Serbian has agreed terms with Juventus.

The Gunners are desperate to find a replacement for the ostracised Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy in December over disciplinary issues.

Vlagovic scored a fine goal on Monday night in Fiorentina’s 6-0 thumping of Genoa – his 41st in 62 appearances in all competitions and 17th in the Serie A this season albeit he missed a penalty and is said to prefer a team that will play in the UEFA competitions next summer when his contract runs down.

Vlahovic seemed to inform Viola fans of his departure after scoring his goal but reports in the media have clarified that he was only apologising to the fans for missing his penalty kick earlier.

Arsenal’s chances of securing the loan signing of Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo on loan for the rest of the season looks increasingly likely to become a reality as the Old Lady are said to have contacted Borussia Moncjengladbach’s Denis Zakaria to take the Brazilian’s place at the Turin club.
