IATA Hails Air Peace’s Safety Standard As Airline Secures 6th IOSA Certification

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has hailed Air Peace’s safety record, stating that it complies with international standards.

IATA’s Regional Director for West and Central Africa, Dr. Patrick Fatokun, made this known when he delivered Air Peace’s IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOASA) certificate at its operational headquarters in Lagos on Tuesday.

The certification confirmed that Air Peace had passed the audit for the sixth time.

Prime Business Africa reports that IOSA certification, which is renewed on a regular basis, reflects that the airline operates at the highest level of safety.

“When it comes to global safety standards, Air Peace stands tall with world aviation giants,” part of IATA’s IATA letter of commendation to Air Peace read.

Speaking at the presentation, Fatokun said Air Peace has once again demonstrated its commitment to global safety standards by receiving its sixth consecutive IOSA.

While commending Air Peace for consistently meeting the safety requirements, Fatokun asserted that when it comes to global safety standards, the airline stands shoulder to shoulder with aviation giants and the best airlines in the world.

According to Fatokun Air Peace has not only met but exceeded expectations, establishing a reputation for safety that puts it at the top of the international aviation sectors.

He noted that the IOSA certification process, which is carried out by independent external auditors, is one of the most stringent evaluations in the industry, intended to guarantee adherence to international safety and operational standards.

Air Peace gets 6thh IOSA Certification

The IATA’s Regional Director for West and Central Africa, urged other Nigerian airlines to emulate Air Peace, pointing out that putting safety and operational integrity first would improve the industry as a whole and improve Nigeria’s standing in international aviation.

He emphasised that obtaining and renewing the IOSA certification is no small feat, as many airlines struggle to maintain compliance after initial success.

According to him, many airlines fail in meeting standards after securing the first one but Air Peace has been consistent in meeting the requirements.

On his part, Chairman/CEO of Air Peace, Dr Allen Onyema, said the achievement is not only a mark of pride for Air Peace but also for Nigeria, demonstrating the nation’s capacity to generate top-tier airlines that can compete with the world’s largest.

Onyema thanked the Nigerian government, especially the minister of aviation, for fostering an atmosphere that supports the expansion of local airlines.

Dr. Onyema went on to express his sincere appreciation to God, the employees, and the management for their unwavering efforts in maintaining this noteworthy achievement.
