Igwe Mbamalu stated that native doctors and traditional medicine practitioners in Ojoto are operating without fear or intimidation.

Igwe Mbamalu clarified that as the Eze Ojoto, he has the statutory duty to certify these traditional medicine practitioners, ensuring they meet government standards and guidelines.

The council also clarified that the rituals performed on 6th January, led by Chief Obiora Obidiwe and Chief Ejike Mokwe, were conducted with the full consent and approval of the Ojoto government and the traditional ruler’s office.

The traditional ruler confirmed that Chief Ejike Mokwe is the authentic Chairman of Otu Omenana Umu Dibia Ojoto, while Chief Obiora Obidiwe has his authority to head the cleansing rituals as the recognized head of the deity Okwu Ani Ojoto.

The council addressed a petition filed by Anthony Uzokwe, alleging impersonation, stating that the police investigation found Mr. Uzokwe holds no government-approved position that can be impersonated. Chiefs Obiora Obidiwe and Ejike Mokwe are duly recognized and approved by the administration.

The Ojoto Traditional Council urged the public to disregard the false information and rest assured that Ojoto remains a peaceful and harmonious community.
