Goals from Antonio Rudiger, N’golo Kante and Christian Pulisic were all Chelsea needed to extend their lead atop the English Premier League on Saturday lunchtime as they defeated Leicester City 3-0 at the Kings Power Stadium reports Prime Business Africa.

The win moves the Blues six points clear in the table and they could have had more goals but for offsides against Pulisic and Reece James.

Chelsea’s dominance began early in the game as Ben Chilwell saw his fifth minute close effort flick off the top of the bar after a quick Jorginho free-kick set him up for a great opening to the match.

Rudiger then headed in a Chilwell corner in the 14th minute while Kante doubled the leader with a fantastic strike after 28 minutes of action.

Leicester had their moments improved after the break, boosted by the introductions of Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho and James Maddison.

Maddison and Amartey saw their long range efforts saved, while Jamie Vardy headed frustratingly over from close range.

The duo of Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech came off the bench in the second half in place of Kai Havertz and Mason Mount and combined beautifully to score the third albeit three Chelsea goals and one from Leicester’s Nigerian – born Ademola Lookman were legitimately called off for offsides.
