THREE time African champions Super Eagles on Sunday arrived Lagos ahead of Tuesday’s last qualifying match of the second round in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Cape Verde.

Nigeria defeated Liberia 2-0 in Tangier, Morocco in the match day 5 of the Qualifiers to enhance their chances of qualification to the play offs which will ultimately produce Africa’s five representatives at Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The team touched down at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport and are looking forward to Tuesday’s match with Cape Verde.

“We have landed Lagos, Nigeria safely via chartered AIR PEACE AIRLINE,” the team said on its Facebook page.

“It was a smooth journey. Thanks to the entire Air Peace crew for the great hospitality. Hey fans, you should fly Air Peace this festive season.

“We’re back to work. Getting set for the game against Cape Verde on Tuesday.”

Tuesday’s match kicks off at 5pm at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Lagos and the Super Eagles need at least a draw against the Blue Sharks to reach the playoff stages of the World Cup qualifiers.
