Nzuko Umunna, an Igbo socio-cultural think-tank has congratulated Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo on his victory at the Anambra State governorship election which was announced on Tuesday.

The group in a message signed by the Executive Secretary, Ngozi Odumuko, which was made available to Prime Business Africa, wished Soludo success in the mission of taking the state to a greater height.

The group urged Soludo to be magnanimous in victory and focus on uniting the people and transforming the state into an enviable economic hub in the country.

Professor Soludo: The Governor-elect’s Long Trek To ‘Agu Awka’

The message reads, “I join my voice with Ndigbo world over to congratulate Prof Soludo on his victory at the just concluded gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

“Dear friend and brother the real work to build an integrated AlaIgbo has just started. The mission and focus should be to transform AlaIgbo (Igbo land) into the economic destination of Africa and a competing force with other economic thriving hubs.

“Dear Prof Soludo please be magnanimous in victory. Ensure to be for everyone and not for an individual. May God’s wisdom, grace and presence rest on you. At the appropriate time we shall tell the story of how God delivered his children from captivity.”

The group urged him to reach out to everyone, both friends and foes.

Soludo who contested under the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, was declared winner of the governorship election which was concluded with the supplementary polls held at Ihiala Local Government Area on Tuesday, 9th November, 2021, where he scored the highest votes.

The APGA candidate had won the election in 18 LGAs of the state where voting took place on Saturday and Sunday.

Here is the total votes for three major political parties as announced by INEC:

APGA     107,421         votes
PDP         53,102          votes
APC          43,327         votes
