Culture Ambassador, Jahman Anikulapo, Wins LSA Personality Award

Veteran journalist and culture ambassador, Mr Jahman Oladejo Anikulapo, has won the Lagos Studies Association (LSA) Distinguished Personality Award.

LSA is an international, interdisciplinary organisation of academic and non-academic practitioners with interests in issues in Lagos, Nigeria, and Africa as a whole.

Previous recipients of the Award include the late Adekunle Alli, Nike Okundaye, Olasupo Shasore, Aduke Gomez, and Femi Odugbemi.

The organisation said the Award “recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to Lagos and Nigerian Studies.”

The award ceremony will take place on Friday, 28 June at the Multipurpose Hall A, University of Lagos at 6 pm.

Mr Anikulapo is a member of Newstide Publications Board and Prime Business Africa Editorial Board.

He is also Programme Chairman, Committee for Relevant Art (CORA), and Executive Programme Director, Culture Advocates Caucus (CAC).

Anikulapo has almost three decades of experience in journalism, rising from the position of a news reporter to Editor of The Guardian on Sunday/LIFE.
