The report also quoted him purportedly claiming that through the business they will in the next 10 years, give Dangote a run for his money.

Adeoye, who appeared on Arise News, Friday morning, for what he claimed was a “right of reply,” over trending reports that he said he is a billionaire, and that he also abandoned his office duties for business affairs, explained that what he runs is an investment club which goes by the name Alpha Trust Investment Club and not a limited liability company.

He also claimed that the club has a loan arm which is registered as a cooperative with the Lagos State government.

The Ex-CP explained that the category of members admitted into the club on a yearly basis are his Facebook friends, their friends, and families. “Categories of members admitted were my Facebook friends and drawn from a forum where I have lectured for years. On a yearly basis the members invited their relations and friends who are willing to join.”

Adeoye went further to explain that the only thing they spend money on is organising their yearly physical meeting which is sponsored by the N5,000 contributed as yearly dues by members.

When asked by Rufai Oseni, Arise TV’s co-anchor for Morning Show, why such a big organisation does not have a residential address, he claimed that it is a purely online investment club and there is no need for a physical office. He also disclosed that the investment club invests on stocks and real estate which has yielded the buck of its worth today.

He also claimed that the club does not need to pay taxes separately because all payable taxes have been subtracted from the stock and real estate payments.

On whether the running the club affected his police job, he said it didn’t since was basically done online.
