Osimhen Makes Final List For CAF Men’s Footballer of The Year Award 

SS Napoli and Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has been named in the final list of three players for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award to be held on Monday evening, reports Prime Business Africa.

Osimhen was in the top 10 of the 2023 Ballon D’Or awards held in Paris in October but will contend for the prize with Morocco’s Ashraf Hakimi and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah.

Former Arsenal forward Nwankwo Kanu was the last Nigeria international to be crowned the CAF African Footballer of The Year in 1999, the second time he would get the accolade after winning it in 1996.

Also in the running for awards on Monday include Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Deborah Abiodun for the African Footballer of The Year (Women), Goalkeeper of the Year (Women) and Young Player of the Year (Women).
