Miss Abuja, Oluchi Madubuike, has been crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2021 on Saturday, September 18.

The event which took place at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos was hosted by comedian Bovi and media personality Toke Makinwa.

The beauty pageant which is organized by Silverbird Group saw 37 women, representing the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), a contest for the crown with Madubuike emerging as the winner of the 33rd Miss World Nigeria. Madubuike was crowned by ex-Miss World Nigeria 2019 Nyekachi Esther Douglas who was also crowned Miss World Africa at the 2019 Miss World pageant. Douglas, in her celebratory comment on Instagram, declared Madubuike winner of the Miss World pageant yet to happen.

The MBGN pageant was unable to hold in 2020 as a result of the pandemic.

Madubuike will be representing Nigeria at the Miss World pageant, scheduled to hold in Puerto Rico on December 16 2021.

Maristella Okpala, Miss Anambra emerged as the first runner up and will be representing Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant.

Adaeze Chineme, Miss Abia will be representing Nigeria at Miss Supranational as the second runner up of the MBGN 2021.

Mercy Jessica Ojugo, Miss Bayelsa, the third runner up, was crowned MBGN Tourism.

Lydia Okojie, Miss Bauchi crowns the MBGN ECOWAS, emerging as the fourth runner up.
