The court ordered that a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, be returned to custody after her arrest in connection with the singer’s demise. It was alleged that the nurse administered injections that ultimately led to Mohbad’s death.

Additionally, the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, also ruled that Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, who was held as a suspect in the case, should remain in police custody. Both decisions underscore the gravity of the case and the need for a thorough investigation.

However, there were contrasting outcomes for other individuals implicated in the case. Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry, were granted bail in the sum of N20 million each. This decision followed their earlier detention by the police on October 6 in connection with Mohbad’s death.

As part of the bail conditions, the defendants must provide three responsible sureties in like sum, and one of these sureties must own a landed property. Additionally, both Naira Marley and Sam Larry are required to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

Magistrate Olatunbosun also issued a stern warning against any attempts to contact her directly on the case, indicating that such actions would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.

The police investigation is still ongoing, and the case has been adjourned until November 29 for further legal advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution. The outcome of this case continues to be of significant public interest as more details emerge.
