Asian Airlines Suspend Tel Aviv Flights Amid Ongoing Israeli-Hamas Conflict

Israeli-Hamas

As the intense conflict between Israel and Hamas continues to unfold, several Asian airlines have made the difficult decision to suspend their flights to and from Israeli airports.

This move follows similar actions taken by major carriers globally, as safety concerns take precedence. Korean Air, the sole South Korean airline offering direct flights between Incheon and Tel Aviv, has cancelled its Monday flight. However, the airline has committed to operating a return flight from Tel Aviv to Incheon, ensuring the safe return of passengers to their home country.

While there are approximately 570 South Korean nationals residing in Israel and an additional 360 tourists in the country, there have been no reports of Korean nationals as casualties so far.

Air India has also temporarily halted its flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 14, prioritizing the safety of its passengers and crew members amidst the ongoing hostilities.

Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific, a prominent Hong Kong carrier, has cancelled its Tuesday flight to and from Tel Aviv and pledged to closely monitor the situation as it evolves.

This disruption in flight services extends beyond Asia, as airlines worldwide, including United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines, grapple with flight cancellations and interruptions due to the ongoing conflict in the region.
