Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has taken his relationship with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to another level after introducing her to Idoma traditional leaders.
In most communities in the country, it is believed that taking a fiancée to ancestral home is an indication that the decision to marry the lady in question, has been signed, sealed and delivered.

The 50-year-old singer and songwriter used the opportunity to introduce his new heartthrob to the elders and re-echoed his commitment to marrying her. The afrobeat cum hip hop singer who attended the event dressed in traditional Idoma attire, presented Natasha to His Royal Majesty, the Och’Idoma V, and assembled kinsmen.
After the palace ceremony, 2Baba and Osawaru proceeded to Okpokwu, his ancestral hometown in Benue State, where they met with local elders and community members.
He was also seen in video appreciating traditional dancers who went into frenzy on sighting him.
The African Queen exponent described Natasha as a young, brilliant, and amazing woman.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has appointed the award-winning singer as technical adviser on entertainment and community outreach.
The governor praised the singer for his enduring commitment to the state and his positive impact on Nigeria’s entertainment landscape

The appointment was made public during a meeting between the governor and the music icon.
In the clip of the event, Governor Alia lauded 2Baba’s unwavering dedication to Benue State—his state of origin—and praised his contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
“Once you say 2Face, people start dancing—even without a song. So we are happy you are here,” Governor Alia remarked during the meeting.
“On behalf of the Benue State Government and our very good people, we want to give you some more responsibilities, in addition to what you’ve already been doing, because you can do even more.”
He continued, “You can help us chart the way forward to improve other people’s lives and to gain from your wisdom and advice as well. So I am pleased to announce that we will make you a Technical Adviser to the Governor on Entertainment and Community Outreach.”
Despite the headlines surrounding his private life, the latest being 2025 new year shocker that saw him walk away from his 12 year old marriage to Nollywood star Annie Marculay in preference to the Edo State lawmaker, Tuface remains a respected figure in Nigerian entertainment industry, known not just for his music but also for his advocacy and philanthropic work.
