Apple Music has unveiled its highly anticipated list of the top 25 most streamed songs in Nigeria for the year 2023.

The chart, covering the period between November 1, 2022, and October 31, 2023, showcases the undeniable influence and popularity of Nigerian artists both domestically and globally.

Topping the chart is Omah Lay’s infectious “soso,” capturing the hearts of listeners across the nation. Asake, a rising star in the Nigerian music scene, claims the second position with “Lonely At The Top,” followed closely by Ruger’s “Asiwaju.”

Asake’s dominance is unmistakable, with the artist securing an impressive presence in 20 out of the top 100 songs, including four within the top 10.

The late Mohbad, a street sensation whose untimely death in September resonated deeply with the nation, concludes the year with three of his songs making it to the top 100.
