Founder and CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg was in  a lovey-dovey mood as he used a new version of 2022 album Get Low, to celebrate unbroken 21 years of romantic relationship with wife Priscilla.

Originally released in 2002 by Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz, “Get Low” was the third single from the rap group’s ‘Kings Of Crunk’ album.

But in a remix collaboration with American music star Faheem Rashad Najm popularly known as T-Pain, Zuckerberg recorded the track under the band name “Z-Pain,” sharing that the song holds sentimental value from the couple’s college days.

In a nostalgic reflection Zuckerberg revealed why the song was special in their life saying  “Get Low was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary.

“This year I worked with T-Pain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece.” The song is available on Spotify, with Zuckerberg signing off his post with “Love you P,” referencing his wife.

The Instagram post included a photo of the lyrics, an album cover of Zuckerberg and T-Pain both holding acoustic guitars and snapshots from the recording session.

Chan’s reaction, captured on Zuckerberg’s Instagram story, shows her laughing and calling the tribute “so romantic.”

An apparently happy with the surprise package ,Priscilla  collaborated her hubby’s submission on the song saying “21 years later, I can’t get quite as low, but it brings back a lot of fun memories.”

T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Najm, also celebrated the collaboration, posting, “Z-Pain has arrived … Get Low by Zuck and me out now.”

While T-pain and Z-pain easily resonates with Faheem Najm and the couple as they celebrate their love story, the expression T-Pain may mean a different thing to some Nigerians as they battle economic realities of today.

Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections Atiku Abubakar first mooted the expression as he criticised President Bola Tinubu for the ongoing economic hardship that Nigerians are facing.

Atiku  had taken to his X to express the views saying that “The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been why we are in this economic crisis. T-Pain (Tinubu) is undisturbed by the hardship in the country, which is worsening every day.

Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga was however quick to respond to the matter.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Onanuga dismissed social media nicknames labelling Tinubu as “T-pain” as mischievous, reiterating that the President was committed to turning Nigeria’s economic fortunes around.

“President Tinubu feels the pain of Nigerians and assures them that relief is on the horizon.

“Some have resorted to calling him ‘T-pain’ out of mischief, but he is not that. He’s here to heal, not to hurt,” Onanuga had said.
