The European Commission had given X a 24-hour ultimatum to address these concerns o face fines. This decision came in response to mounting evidence of misinformation and the spread of “violent and terrorist” content on the platform.

In the midst of this controversy, it is evident that the battle against disinformation and harmful content remains a priority for both X and the European Union.
