Wizkid Hints New Album

Fans of Nigerian superstar Wizkid were sent into a frenzy as the artist recently dropped a hint about a possible new album. Taking to his Instagram story, the ‘Essence’ crooner simply posted the word ‘album,’ sparking speculation among his followers.

This revelation comes in the wake of Wizkid’s previous declaration of retirement from music. In November 2023, he took to social media to announce his hiatus, expressing his intention to take four or five years off from the music scene. He even played with the idea of pursuing football or golf during his break.

Wizkid’s announcement was delivered in his unique style, blending English with pidgin. He humorously suggested his potential interests in sports, including football, golf, and even wrestling, leaving fans amused and intrigued.

However, for avid supporters of the artist, this isn’t the first time they’ve heard about Wizkid’s plans to step back from the limelight. Back in 2019, he hinted at a similar break, tweeting, “Gone till March! Thank you,” before temporarily disappearing from the music scene.
