Ooni’s Wife Announces Decision To Leave Marriage

The wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Queen Silekinola Naomi has taken to her Instagram page to declare her decision to leave her marriage to the monarch.

Queen Silekinola Naomi has been married to Oba Ogunwusi for three years but has used the opportunity to reiterate that she is not leaving her husband because of another queen but because of her inability to deal with other factors mitigating against her union with the king.

Imstructively, the ‘former queen’ insists that she was the only legally married woman to the Ooni.

“Few impressions I would love to correct. If anyone knows otherwise, they are free to come up with facts. Let it be known that this decision to move on did not come because his majesty is married to another queen.

“As many would love to assume, throughout our life as a couple, I was the only married wife to him. There were side attractions, but it was never an issue.

“I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son,” she concluded.

The social media post prompted several reactions with most of the respondents showing their support and empathy towards her.
