Vinicius Junior Signs Real Madrid Contract Extension

Real Madrid and Brazil forward Vinicius Jr has extended his contract with the Spanish club until June 2027.

The 23-year-old South American has already made 235 appearances for Real, scoring 63 goals since joining in 2018.

He has claimed nine trophies including the 2022 Champions League title, scoring the winning goal in Paris against Liverpool.

However, he has also been subjected to racist abuse by opposition fans on several occasions.

Vinicius Jr was honoured with the Socrates Award at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris on Monday night, in recognition of his work “fighting social inequality” in his home country.
