Providing an update on Sunday via Instagram, Verydarkman expressed gratitude for the progress made and shared details about the ongoing investigation.

He said, “Thanks to the people who called to check up on me. I also want to thank God for the process so far: we have been able to recover N78m, even though the suspect pointed out that the person he did it  with has run to Ghana, so hopefully, we would be going to Ghana very soon.”

VeryDarkMan, whose  real name is Martins Otse, triggered off public skepticism following the alarm, with many questioning the credibility of his allegations.

The latest update comes a day after musician Dammy Krane stated that VDM is renovating a school in Jos, Plateau State, and was merely making light of the tale of embezzled money in a picture he posted on his Instagram page on Saturday evening.

‘‘It was a prank. VDM is renovating a school in Jos. Una no expect am abi?!’’ Dammy Krane wrote on his Instagram page.

The element of doubt was further fueled when a video emerged of VeryDarkMan allegedly seen partying at a nightclub in Jos, just hours after revealing that he was traveling to Jos as part of the search for the missing  N180 million.

As if that were not enough, VDM was reportedly spotted with a Benz The AMG gt valued at about N90 million outside Hilton.

Recall that Verydarkman irked by allegations that funds donated to the victims of Borno flood disaster never got to them, vowed to start his own NGO to ensure funds donated for a cause will reach the affected party.

He floated the said NGO raising N21 million in less than 24 hours.  Among big donors were Music producer and Director, Don Jazzy, who surprised him with a N100 million donation.
