Prof. Luke Anorue of the Department of Mass Communication, UNN, will on Saturday, June 1, 2024 bury his father, Elder Dominic Ejiogu Anorue in Awala Community Ideato South Local Government Area, Imo State.

Elder Ejiogu Anorue died at the age of 100.

According to the burial arrangement, there will be a wake on Friday, 31 May, 2024 (today) at the family compound, Umuonyejiaku in Awala autonomous community, Ideato South LGA. This will be followed by a lying in state on Saturday, June 1, burial mass at Wesley Methodist Church, Awala, and interment at the family compound the same day.

Born in the 1920s, as the second son and the fourth child of the five children of his parents- Anorue Nwaotum and nwaigwe Nwaotum, the centenarian was renowned for his hard work, tenacity and uncommon determination to achieve his set goals.

Elder Anorue achieved remarkable success in his professional career as a traditional engineer and architect through hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence.
