Transfer Window: Man United Reach Agreement For £62.5m Cunha Deal With Wolves

Brazil international, Matheus Cunha, has signed a five-year deal with the option of a year extension at Manchester United from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

United will structure the payments for the player in three windows that will amount to £62.5m in three instalments.

The forward attracted a number of interests from clubs in England during the January transfer window albeit none came to fruition.

The 26-year-old who on Sunday left the Lowry Hotel in Salford to join up with the Brazilian national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay scored 31 goals in 76 appearances for Wolves after his loan move to the club was made permanent in 2023.

The former Atletico Madrid player has now become the first United signing ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

Multiple sources in the English media indicate that the deal is subject to vids approval and registration procedures.

The final details of the contract will be completed when the player returns from international duties with the Samba boys.

United finished in 15th position last season – their lowest ever place in the topflight.

The team have already embarked on preseason tours.
