The Parisiens who thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 to win the European title on May 31 doubled their lead before halftime when Antoine Griezmann lost control of the ball leading to a swift counter attacking move by the French side.

PSG’s mercurial midfielder, Vitinha, who was adjudged the Man of the Match fired home for the second goal.

Julian Alvarez who went close to scoring from a freekick in the first half grabbed what seemed like a good goal but the effort was ruled out by the VAR for a foul committed by Koke in Desire Doue in the buildup to the goal.

Late substitute Senny Mayulu made it 3-0 with three minutes left on the official time clock.

The rout was complete late on when Lee Kang-in stepped up to convert a late penalty.
