Transcorp Hotels Plc Reports Strong H1 2025 Performance, Posts 60% Revenue Growth

July 25, 2025

Transcorp Hotels, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group), has reported a robust financial performance for the first half (H1) of 2025, with revenue rising by 60% year-on-year (YoY) to ₦47.57 billion, up from ₦29.72 billion recorded during the same period in 2024.

The unaudited financial results released by the company on Thursday also show that gross profit grew by 71% YoY to ₦36.21 billion, compared to ₦21.19 billion in the previous year.

The company’s gross profit margin climbed to 76%, underscoring its ability to manage costs efficiently amid rising inflation and other macroeconomic pressures.

The strong performance comes on the heels of the launch of the Transcorp Centre, a 5,000-seat capacity event venue in Abuja, which the company says is now Nigeria’s largest corporate event space. Management credits the new centre with opening up fresh revenue opportunities and solidifying the company’s leadership in the hospitality and events industry.

In recognition of its performance, Transcorp Hotels has declared an interim dividend of ₦1.02 billion at ₦0.10 per 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to applicable withholding tax.

Chairman of Transcorp Hotels Plc, Emmanuel Nnorom, attributed the strong performance to strategic execution and a commitment to innovation.

“Transcorp Hotels’ outstanding performance in the first half of 2025 further validates our transformative strategies and our laser focus on operational efficiency. It affirms our dedication to investor value and signals our confidence in the company’s future,” Nnorom said.

With assets like the iconic Transcorp Hilton Abuja and the new Transcorp Centre, we are not only leading Nigeria’s hospitality sector, but also setting new benchmarks across the continent,” Oshogwe said.

Transcorp Hotels Plc is a member of Transnational Corporation Plc, one of Africa’s leading listed conglomerates with investments spanning power, hospitality, and energy. Through its flagship hotel, Transcorp Hilton Abuja, and digital hospitality platform Aura by Transcorp Hotels, the company says it is redefining hospitality standards across the continent.
