Tinubu Approves Three Key Ambassadorial Postings

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has approved the posting of three ambassadors to major international capitals, the presidency has confirmed.

According to a statement from presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, Ambassador Ayodele Oke has been designated to France, Colonel Lateef Are (rtd) to the United States, and Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, a former envoy to South Korea, has been appointed as high commissioner to the United Kingdom.

The appointments are part of 68 ambassadorial nominations confirmed by the Senate in December 2025.

President Tinubu has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to notify the respective governments and complete the postings in line with standard diplomatic procedures.
