T2, formerly known as 9mobile, has introduced its electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) SIM registration web application, aimed at transforming the SIM registration experience across the country.

This innovative platform represents a significant change in customer digital onboarding processes for telecommunications services, leveraging cutting-edge technology to streamline customer verification while enhancing security protocols.

The web application is designed to handle a seamless, fast, and secure registration process for all users, including existing and prospective customers, channel and retail partners, T2 shops, agents, and staff.

T2’s eKYC SIM Registration Web App, which operates on all smartphones, complies with all regulatory standards for SIM registration in Nigeria.

Chief Technical & Information Officer at T2, Ayodeji Adedeji, described the application as “a groundbreaking solution” for digital onboarding of customers.

“Our new SIM Registration Web App, a flagship innovation following our recent brand unveiling, is designed to revolutionize customer onboarding—making it faster, easier, and more seamless, while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements,” Adedeji stated.

The application utilizes advanced biometric verification technology and liveness detection to prevent fraudulent registrations, positioning itself as a pivotal tool in Nigeria’s efforts to create a more secure digital ecosystem while improving customer experience in the telecommunications industry.
