The Falcons lost a couple of great opportunities in the close game but the returning Chinwendu Ihezuo who was fouled inside take box that resulted in the goal was a constant threat to the Bayana Bayana with her pace and trickery.

Substitutes Esther Okoronkwo and Rinsola Babajide also gave good account of themselves while Paris FC goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was at her elastic best.

Nnadozie saved a long range strike from Jermaine Seoposeenwe after she was teed up by Thembi Kgatlana.

Attention shifts to the return leg of the fixtures next week Tuesday in Pretoria.

The South African contingent are expected to depart Abuja for South Africa on Saturday morning while the Falcons are billed for their trip on Sunday
