The Super Falcons progressed to the third round of qualifiers to the Football event of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with an emphatic 4-0 win over Ethiopia at the MKO Abiola stadium Abuja on Tuesday evening.

The win means the Falcons qualified 5-1 on aggregate after the 1-1 draw in the first leg in Addis Ababa.

Prime Business Africa presents the player ratings from the game.

Goalkeeper

Chiamaka Nnadozie

The goalkeeper had little to do in the game aside keeping away an effort from a free kick. 6/10.

Defenders

Michelle Alozie

The left back was not particularly inspiring much confidence defensively but was an outlet on the wing as the team piled pressure on their guests. 6/10.

Oluwatosin Demehin

There was a worrying end to an otherwise fine game for the former youth international as she pulled up with an injury.

Provided the assist for the first goal of the game. 7/10.

Akudo Ogonna

Ogonna had a much better game in Abuja than she did have in Addis Ababa.

The defender was not awed by the expectations and didn’t show nerves. 6.5/10.

Rofiat Imuran

The young defender was solid at the back and good going forward. Had a good understanding with Uchenna Kanu on the right channel. 6/10.

Midfielders

Peace Efih

Efih was the conduit between the midfield and the attack. Prgoresed well the ball and created so many chances for attacking teammates. 7.5/10.

Toni Payne

Was quiet for the period she was involved in the game. 4/10.

Rasheedat Ajibade

Continued her great form with two goals in Abuja, added to the vital away strike in Addis Ababa. 9/10

Forwards

Asisat Oshoala

Scored one and assisted another in the game a day after she finished in 20th place in the Ballon D’Or rankings. 7/10.

Uchenna Kanu

The winger scored a goal and also assisted another. Was a handful for the fullback with her pace and trickery. 8/10.

Ifeoma Onumonu

Yet to convince a lot of Nigerians that she can carry the goal scoring responsibiliites alone without some sort of assistance from teammates. 6/10.

The substitutes: The duo of Rinsola Babajide and Esther Onyenezide were late substitutes form the bench. Not rated.
