Sit-at-home: Soludo Orders Civil Servants To Resume Work On Mondays

New Anambra Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has ordered public servants across ministries, departments and agencies in the state to resume attendance to work on Mondays in line with the quest of the government for better performance and productivity.

This was indicated in a memo signed by the state Head of Service, Barr. Theodora Igwegbe on Friday, March 25.

The head of service who stated that the directive takes immediate effect, warned that failure to adhere to the directive will attract appropriate sanctions.

The memo reads,

“Following the need to reposition the service for better performance and productivity, His Excellency, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has directed that all Public Servants should henceforth report at their places of work on Mondays as they do on other workdays.

“Consequently, absence from duty on Mondays or any other official workday without approval will be viewed as serious misconduct which will attract appropriate sanctions.

This directive takes immediate effect.”
