Shareholders Of NNFM, C&I Leasing, Others Lost N102.67bn After Trading Hours

Shareholders of Northern Nigeria Flour Mill (NNFM), C&I Leasing and other companies on the losers list lost N102.67 billion after trading hours on Monday, June 16.

As a result, the stock market capitalisation plunged to N72.68 trillion, from N72.78 trillion reported on Friday, June 13.

This was evident in the all-share index (ASI), which depreciated by 0.14 percent or 162.83 basis points to 115,258.77 ASI, from 115,421.6 ASI.

Investors were involved in 22,100 deals on Monday, trading 721.75 million shares, valued at N22.01 billion, surpassing the 14,026 deals recorded on Friday, when investors exchanged N11.96 billion for 745,73 million shares.

Top five gainers

  • Guinea Insurance’s share price increased by 10.00 percent to rise from N0.70 kobo to N0.77 kobo per share.
  • Ellah Lakes’ share value grew by N0.43 kobo, from N4.33 kobo to N4.76 kobo per share.
  • Legend Internet ended trading at N7.79 kobo per share, from N7.09 per share – indicating an increase of N0.70 kobo.
  • Royal Exchange gained 9.68 percent to end trading at N1.02, having opened with N0.93 kobo.
  • Fidson’s share value was up by N3.70 kobo, after closing at N42.10 kobo from N38.40 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • NNFM’s share price depreciated by N11.25 kobo, dwindling from N112.55 kobo to N101.30 kobo per share.
  • C&I Leasing recorded a N0.45 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N4.20 kobo after opening with N4.65 kobo per share.
  • UPL lost N0.51 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N4.99 kobo from N5.50 kobo per share.
  • Deap Capital reported a decline of 8.99 percent from the previous day’s share price of N0.89 kobo to end trading at N0.81 kobo per share.
  • Learn Africa recorded a N0.35 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N3.80 kobo after opening with N4.15 kobo per share.

  • Access Holdings reported that 92.70 million shares valued at N1.90 billion were traded on its floor.
  • UBA recorded 91.36 million shares valued at N3.08 billion.
  • Zenith Bank saw investors trade 76.84 million of its shares valued at N3.55 billion.
  • Fidelity Bank recorded 49.99 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N883.98 million.
  • GTCO reported 40.45 million shares valued at N2.84 billion exchanged in investors’ hands.
