Taking to Instagram, he posted a snapshot of himself aboard an airplane, accompanied by the exciting caption, “Euro tour kicks off tonight in Zurich.”
Originally scheduled to take place from May 20 to August 16, 2023, Kuti’s tour faced an unexpected setback when he was arrested on May 15, 2023. Video footage captured the artist engaging in a physical altercation with a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge, resulting in his subsequent detainment at the state criminal investigation Department (SCID).

For six long days, Kuti remained in custody, uncertain of his future and the impact it would have on his musical aspirations. Fortunately, Seun Kuti managed to fulfill the requirements for his release and was set free.
