New Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick according to media reports in the English press is prepared to oversee a major clearout over the two 2022/2023 transfer windows.

The reports quote scoops from German outfit BILD who reveal that Cristiano Ronaldo who returned to the club 12 years after leaving for Real Madrid will headline big names to depart Old Trafford.

Other notable United stars set to be axed include Edison Cavani (34), Nemanja Matic (33). Paul Pogba (28) and David de Gea (31).

The German tactician whose tenure as interim manager will end after the 2021/2022 season before he takes up the role of a Consultant at the club has been known for his drive to work with young players and has never signed players above 24 years old at his previous clubs.

Meanwhile, Rangnick is not expected to push for any major players to leave before the end of the season meaning the likes of Ronaldo or Cavani would likely stay put at United in the January transfer window but are likely to leave by the end of the campaign.
