Academy Awards winning American actress Halle Berry has signed a multi-title deal with Netflix to produce and star in more original features.

The 55 year old multiple award winner started her illustrious career in 1989.

Berry’s newly unveiled partnership comes following her directorial debut movie ‘Bruised’ which is making waves and is currently on the top chart on the USA.

The film currently ranks as the first choice in 71 countries and was watched for 47.7 million hours in its first five days of release.

“My directorial debut, ‘Bruised,’ was a labor of love and I knew that Scott and Ted would treat it with great care,” Berry said of Netflix film head Scott Stuber and co-CEO Ted Sarandos.

“The Netflix team has not only been collaborative and creative, but extremely passionate and a delight to work with. I am beyond grateful for the partnership and look forward to telling more stories together.”

In the sports themed drama, Berry plays an MMA fighter who decides to reclaim her power in both the ring and in her life.

Berry is also poised to work in two blockbuster Netflix originals including a Sci-fi to be directed by Matt Charman.
