In what could best be described as a mixture of sweet and sour celebrations, US rapper, Cardi B, and her estranged husband, Offset, have been blessed with a third child just weeks after filing for divorce.

The duo in both words and action revealed their joy following the arrival of the baby but do not appear to be thinking of a possible u-turn regarding the on going divorce suit.

In a recent Instagram update, the 31-year-old Cardi B shared that she gave birth on September 7, delighting her fans with the news of the new arrival.

The photos accompanying the announcement show Cardi B beaming with joy as she cradles her newborn while sitting in a hospital bed, dressed in a vibrant robe.

Offset on his part can also be seen in one of the pictures holding their baby, while their older children, Wave, 3, and Kulture, 6, are pictured meeting their new sibling for the first time.

The series of family photos captures heartfelt moments as the family of five embraces their latest addition in the hospital. Cardi B captioned the post with the words, “The prettiest thing 9/7/24.”

The rapper had previously revealed she was expecting her third child last month, expressing her gratitude for the new chapter in her life.

“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!” she wrote.

Cardi B and Offset, who married in 2017, share two older children, Kulture, born in 2018, and Wave, born in 2021. Despite several ups and downs in their relationship, including a split in 2020 due to infidelity allegations, they reconciled shortly after.

However, last month, Cardi filed for divorce once again, confirming the separation in December 2023.

As per early assessment this year, both estranged couple are estimated to be worth about $106 million
