Heavily armed Policemen were present at the Ojota area of Lagos Tuesday morning in a bid to ward off any possible protests by youths in the aftermath of the death of 22-year-old Ayanwole Bamise who has been confirmed dead after she went missing.

Bamise, a Fashion designer had earlier gone missing on Saturday, February 26, 2022, after boarding a ‘BRT bus’ from Chevron Bus Stop, in Lekki supposedly heading to Oshodi around 7 pm.

Days after her she went missing, the lady was found dead with her vital organs reportedly missing.

The demise of the the young lady whose body was identified on Monday by her family has inadvertently caused outrage on social media.

Despite Tuesday being the International Women’s Day to celebrate the achievements of the female gender all over the world, it could become one steeped in agony as the city of Lagos could witness a monumental protest.

Consequently men of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have been stationed around the Freedom Park, Ojota to monitor the protest and prevent destruction of properties.

Meanwhile, two suspects linked to Bamise’s murder have been arrested. The Police have also announced the arrest of the driver of the BRT bus Bamise boarded before she was killed.

However the driver of the bus, Andrew Nice in a viral video making the rounds claimed that he was under duress from those who kidnapped Bamise and has no link to the people who committed the crime.
