PFN Vows Full Support For EFCC In Anti-Crime Efforts

In a significant display of unity in the battle against economic and financial crimes, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Enugu State chapter, has pledged its unwavering support to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Most Reverend Chibiko N.C. Onyeledo, the newly elected Chairman of PFN, made this commitment during a Courtesy Visit to the Enugu Zonal Command of the EFCC on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Reverend Onyeledo emphasized the critical role that the EFCC has played in combating corruption over the years, acknowledging its positive impact on both the nation and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.

He assured the Commission of PFN’s readiness to collaborate in every aspect of its mission to combat corruption, stating, “We are prepared to work hand in hand with the Commission to curb the menace of cybercrimes and other financial crimes by educating our members about the tricks used by fraudsters to ensure they are not defrauded.”

Additionally, Reverend Onyeledo expressed PFN’s desire to maintain strong relationships with governmental institutions, including the EFCC, and called for increased collaboration between the two entities.

He sought guidance on the procedure for obtaining the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) certificate for some of PFN’s members.

In response, the Assistant Commander of the EFCC and Enugu Zonal Commander, ACE 1 Aliyu Nuhu Naibi, welcomed the PFN delegation and commended the organization for its commitment to peace and simplicity.

Commander Naibi reassured PFN that the SCUML certificate is free and extended an invitation for further engagement, stating, “We operate an open-door policy at all times, and your visit here is highly commendable.”

This partnership between the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the EFCC signifies a collaborative effort in the ongoing fight against corruption and economic crimes in Nigeria.

It reflects a shared commitment to building a more transparent and accountable society, where financial crimes are eradicated, and citizens are educated about the dangers of fraud.

As the EFCC continues its efforts to combat economic and financial crimes, the support of influential organizations like PFN is crucial in achieving their goals.
